Halo/horns effect
 

The halo effect refers to the global evaluation of a person or object based on a highly salient, but not necessarily valid, feature (e.g., attractive people are honest and hard workers); the horns effect is the opposite, based on a salient negative feature that contaminates the global evaluation.
