Prisoner’s Dilemma

A scenario in which two players have to decide separately whether to cooperate or cheat. The common feature of Prisoner’s Dilemma games is that the ideal outcome is achieved when both players cooperate; however, each player’s dominant strategy is to cheat and, thus, the Nash equilibrium is that both cheat. ​
