Satisficing
 

A portmanteau of ‘suffice’ and ‘satisfying’ introduced by Herbert Simon in 1956; it describes the tendency of individuals to make decisions that are not optimal as defined in mathematical terms, but that are good enough to provide a sufficient degree of happiness.
